General Motors Co.’s Chevrolet brand has a special edition for everyone who likes red and black trim on his cars. It's called the Redline series and the accent package will be available for several of Chevy's vehicles, starting with the Silverado. Chevrolet will debut the new trim for nine of its vehicles at the Chicago Auto Show.
The Redline trim, the broadest special edition offered by the brand, will feature black wheels with red hash marks, black nameplates outlined in red, blacked-out grilles and black Chevrolet bowtie logos and specific features for each vehicle. Redline concepts of the Trax, Malibu, Camaro, Silverado and Colorado debuted at the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas.
Chevrolet is billing this as its largest cross-portfolio special-edition series. Redline will be available on the Cruze LT, Malibu LT, Trax LT, Colorado LT, Camaro LT and SS, Silverado double cab LT Z71 and crew cab LTZ Z71, Equinox LT, and Traverse Premier. Chevy declined to provide pricing, but the Redlines will all be on sale by the end of 2017.
